Faith's Baptism

Sunday, September 7, my granddaughter got baptized. She's the first of the second generation of my family to be born in the church. This is very special to me, but that story will have to be another posting. This one is for Faith.

There were five children being baptized Sunday. One of her friends got baptized too. One of the speakers had a souvenir for them. He had made gates out of Popsicle sticks to remind them that they were entering "the gate."

Back home, after the baptism, her family had a little celebration for her. She had some presents to open. One was a little ring, to remind her to be careful with the choices she makes. It has three letters on it : CTR. It stand for "Choose the Right." Same kind of message as the "What Would Jesus Do" bracelets and things they have.

She was excited and like it.

She was also pretty excited about her ice cream sundae: EIGHT cherries because she was eight years old! (Thank you, Matt & Chrissy for teaching to take pictures of food...)

For all her giggliness and bouncing around - this is what I love:

The eyes of Faith.

I'm glad that you were able to come. I know it meant a lot to her.
