GO MATT !!

This morning my son-in-law is taking his MCAT test. In his words:
The MCAT is the “Medical School Admissions Test that any prospective physician must take and score well on in order to get into medical school. It is a test that takes about 5 hours to complete, consisting of material we should have learned in college. It goes over Physical Science (General Inorganic Chemistry and Physics) Biological Science (Organic Chemistry and Biology) Verbal Reasoning and two writing samples. Each section is scored on a 15 point scale and the writing samples have a complicated letter grade that takes way too much time to explain. A perfect MCAT score would be a 45 but a normal person or a good score is in the low 30’s.

He has been studying for this for a year and a half. He is very conscientious about everything he does, which means that when I say "studying," I mean going some place quiet and cracking the books. For hours. This is the end of a very long road for him...and the beginning of another one. He is making applications to medical schools all around the country that he would like to attend. They will make their decision based on his application and his score on this test. Where they will live for the next four or five years is dependant on his school placement.

Our prayers are with you, Matt! You are a Diamond! You WILL shine!
